Greater Manchester CDS - Sending the referring dentist an update

When sending a referral on to hospital care, you can update the dentist via the system using the attached process

From the accepted or contacted sections of your dashboard click on the URN and then select 

Complete the metrics in the left hand side of the window that opens. Then scroll down and select the bottom button on the right hand side:

In the next window, this section needs to be filled in as it populates the letter the referring GDP receives:

At this next step you can add radiographs, images and documents (treatment plans, letters etc) that will attach to the referral in the GDP's system:

Then select "Complete referral report"

Once done you can then forward the referral to Hospital care using the available options:

PLEASE NOTE: You cannot send the referring dentist update following a rejection, onward referral or discharge. This must be done before any of these actions. These are 2 actions you need to complete on the referral. Sending the referring dentist an update will not send the referral on to hospital at the same time and vice versa.
